2D & 3D animation.

Motion with a reason to move.

Talk to Fuel

A lot of animation looks incredible, but does it do enough to communicate? Things bounce, things spin, things morph for no particular reason and the viewer ends the video impressed by the craft but unclear on the point. Animation gives you the freedom to show what can’t be filmed and simplify what’s hard to explain. We use it to add clarity beyond just visual interest.

The in-house creative team pressure and the Fuel solution.

You may be lucky enough to have an in-house animator or perhaps it’s a luxury that’s not on your mind right now. In-house animators often get bogged down with the constant stream of delivery the business demands.

Whether you need one-off support or a totally outsourced animation function, we have in-house creatives and animators to bring ideas to life across simple and complex 2d and 3d videos.

FAQs and stuff worth knowing.

2D is flatter and graphic. It’s great for concepts, processes, data and anything that benefits from a clean, clear visual language. 3D adds depth and realism — better for physical products, environments or anything that needs to feel tangible. The choice isn’t really about preference, it’s about what best serves the explanation. We’ll recommend based on that.

Yes. Style isn’t something you need to arrive with. We develop it based on your brand, your audience and what the content needs to communicate. Sometimes a distinctive animation style becomes a recognisable part of how a brand explains itself. That’s worth getting right rather than defaulting to something generic.

It works very well alongside live footage when it’s planned that way. Animation can handle what the camera can’t — internal processes, abstract concepts, data visualisation — while live footage brings the human element. The two complement each other when the approach is considered from the start.

Detailed enough to understand the problem, not necessarily the solution. We need to know what the animation needs to do, who it’s for and where it’ll live. The creative approach such as style, structure, how the story moves, that’s our job to develop.

That’s one of the things it does best. Products in development, architectural concepts, internal systems, future states — animation gives you complete control over what’s shown and how. No location, no prototype, no problem.

A considered 2D animation typically takes anywhere from one to four weeks from brief and stakeholder sign off periods, through to delivery. 3D work takes longer depending on complexity. The process of scripting, storyboarding, styleframes, animation, revisions , has proper stages that can’t be meaningfully compressed without affecting quality.

A lot of animation ends up looking the same because it’s built on stock styles and default motion. We develop the visual approach around your brand and your content — so it feels like it belongs to you.
