We helped data transformation and ETL leader Matillion to stand out in the fast-growing AWS re:invent show and marketplace.

With over 75 launches and announcements of new services and major features during AWS re:Invent, it can be challenging for any brand to ensure visibility amidst the show’s 60,000+ attendees.

Fuel was invited to help Matillion deliver a dramatic presence at the Amazon Web Services (AWS) event re:invent 2019, in Las Vegas. The show is the flag ship event of the AWS market place and represents an unmatched opportunity for Matillion to directly inspire, educate and engage over 60,000 cloud based data center service business partners, users, buyers and engineers.

Purpose.

Fuel worked with the Matillion team to devise a ‘Transforming Robot’ theme to illustrate how their Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) technology transforms the way data engineers can get to work on their data – faster and more efficiently – in their Cloud Data Warehouses. The theme was applied seamlessly across the Matillion’s presence at the event from booth design and creative, to giant motion graphics, attendee communications and promotions and informative breakout sessions.

Value.

Described as one of its most successful events ever, the Matillion team was able to easily harness the impact of the whole booth theme as a high energy platform to strike up conversations with attendees and potential business prospects. Cutting-through and standing-out amidst the noise and clamour of the very busy re:invent show floor. As a result, Matillion picked up an award for ‘Best in Show Swag’ promotional activities.

The ‘Team Transform’ event promotional materials, designed and produced by Fuel, won Matillion the AWS re:invent “Best Swag” award, as a result of its creativity and originality.
