Dean Morris is the Communications Director at Fuel Integrated. We asked him to share a few details into his personal life and working day.
What does a typical day look like for you and what are you currently working on?
Normally arrive around 7.45am, have breakfast and catch up on emails.
Check in with the Strategy team with regards to their current projects and any new opportunities or requirements.
Studio morning kick off involves chatting with all the team, checking in regarding existing tasks, new tasks and spotting any potential issues / road blocks, and then tackling these accordingly with a pragmatic approach and planning the day ahead.
Will continually check in through the day in amongst any meetings I need to attend and acting on emails, reviewing work and occasionally jumping back on the tools!
I’m effectively the glue between the teams with daily walk arounds, ensuring cross team communication with the ultimate aim that we deliver, to a high standard, on time and keeping our clients informed at every step.
If you could switch jobs with someone, anyone, who would it be?
Professional golfer – I’m certainly not great at golf, but that lifestyle does appeal.
How do you recharge at home?
Relax with family or friends, or go on a bike ride with my three good cycling mates, taking myself completely away from everything and having a laugh along the way.
What movie or novel character do you most identify with?
George Clooney – looks (I wish).
When are you the happiest?
Personal – it’s when I’m on holiday – usually in Spain and spending quality time with my family.
Fuel – when fully immersed in projects, liaising with the team and the studio is buzzing.
What characteristic do you most admire in others?
Drive and determination to get things done to a high standard. It’s what I strive for in everything and admire those that ‘go for it’ and nail it.
What one memory do you most treasure?
Personal – Birth of my daughters.
Fuel – Dell EMC Partner Conference execution in Sardinia… six long, busy, but rewarding days. Working together as a team we delivered and ultimately helped execute a great event for 400+ guests, with rotating workshops, fantastic dining and entertainment, plus plenaries and keynotes, this was an event I was proud to be a part off.
What super power would you like to have and why?
Fly. Hate traffic, would make life so much easier.
What would a “perfect” day look like for you?
Cooked breakfast, golf (weather permitting), followed by lunch and a few drinks with family and/or friends, maybe wrapped up with an evening BBQ. Yep it’s all about the food and drink! If there’s a West Ham win in there too… all the better!
